JP-4 (MIL-DTL-5624, NATO F-40) is the legacy wide-cut military turbine fuel. Higher volatility than JP-8/JP-5 makes it relevant for historical compatibility studies and certain cold-weather military methods, but it is largely superseded for new land-based programmes by JP-8.
Packaged JP-4 from the shop supports defence labs comparing legacy vs current Single Fuel Concept grades. Confirm flash and freeze on the CoA — wide-cut behaviour differs sharply from JP-8.
