JP-5 (MIL-DTL-5624, NATO F-44) is the carrier-grade naval aviation fuel. Its defining property versus JP-8 is flash point ≥60°C for shipboard fire-safety margins, with freeze point typically max −46°C.
Shop packs serve naval aviation labs, deck-equipment qualification and flash-point comparison programmes. Density and distillation limits follow the mil-spec; exact batch values are on the CoA shipped with each lot from Miami.
